Bye summer of 2011

The sun is starting to go to bed a bit earlier these days on Cape Cod.  What a glorious summer it has been.  I am so thankful for another amazing summer on Cape Cod.  So many wonderful moments I will never forget.  My family spent most of the time at the ponds and beaches.  One highlight this summer, catching 10 trout with my great friend, Eli, during the 4th of July weekend.  It was truly an epic fishing trip.  Thanks to my great friend Matt for inviting my family and I to Canobie Lake and to a Paw Sox game.  My wife and I celebrated our 18th year of marriage as well, and I can’t thank her enough for standing by me all these years.  You are the love of my life and my best friend.  We also had an adventure camping in the New Hampshire Mountains at Horton Center.  I went caving with my son, picked blueberries on a mountain with my wife and daughter, hiked the Pinkham trail, saw a mama moose and her baby, and we even slept on a cliff under the stars, and I can’t even tell you how many shooting stars I saw!  So many wishes were made that night.  Yes, what an amazing summer!  On a sad note, my Grandfather Henry passed away.  I will treasure my memories that I have of him.  May you rest in peace, Grandpa. I only wish you could have known me and my family more.

Thanks to Will Leonard for hiring me as his AD to shoot a commercial for NanaWall in Washington, D.C.  My wife and I had a great time teaching our show choir summer camp for Sandwich Community Schools. We are so proud of all our students. Thanks to John Crest for inviting me to do a theatrical lab for his ice skaters, And thanks to Dr. Sarah McQuarrie - Assistant Professor of Music Education, Bridgewater State College – for having me come in to teach for her Master’s Class regarding integrating the performing arts into curriculum.  I was also a judge for the 20th Annual Woods Hole Film Festival, and helped out with a stage reading of one of the scripts.  It was truly an insightful process.

Also, I am very excited about my trip to Los Angeles this month.  I will be spending time with my family and meeting a producer regarding my screenplay.  Many good things are in the air.  Stay tuned for more updates.

In the meantime, I’m looking forward to apple crisps, pumpkins, and the changing of all the leaves and spending more time with my amazing family this fall and winter.

I have much to be grateful for, and I am truly blessed. Here’s to making more dreams come true…
