LASIT TALENT FILM and TV ACTOR'S LABS

Do you have an interest for acting in movies, television shows, and commercials? Now is the time to do something about it so you are better prepared for all the upcoming opportunities that are currently available and on the horizon.  Actors in Massachusetts continue to work as extras/ background talent and some are transcending into the desired speaking roles.   Many movies are filmed in MA such as Grown Ups, The Fighter, The Zoo Keeper, Mall Cop, Shutter Island, Edge of Darkness, Company Men, TED, That's My Boy, Here Comes the Boom, Broken Arrow, Grown Ups 2, Labor Day, Captain Richard Phillips, RIPD, Ghostbusters,  and Black Mass just to name a few.

KEVIN LASIT'S students are in all the mentioned movies and some have even landed speaking roles.  Don't miss your opportunity to shine on film.

 BE PREPARED!

In order to separate yourself from the competition, you’ll have to know how to shift the energy in the audition room.  In all my classes, I will explain how to do this with confidence and how to own the room.

I have trained thousands of actors in this beautiful state of Massachusetts.  Students have traveled from New Hampshire, New Bedford, Boston, Worcester, Rhode Island, and New York to study with me and I offer Skype lessons for actors in Los Angeles and New York.

Dramatic Scene Study: (6 week lab)

2017 Classes

You are the most important thing in my class. I create a safe environment for all students to reveal their inner truth through fictional characters.  I personally believe everyone has the ability to act, if they wish too.  Storytelling, no matter what your medium is, be it painting, playing a musical instrument, singing, dancing and of course acting, at its core, is about truth.  I believe everyone can speak their truth, and once a performer, a person, realizes that, they begin to perform in ways that are vulnerable and honest.  When people begin to speak from their heart, they stand out.  Period!  The truth always wins.

Comments From previous Students:

“Not only did I learn a lot, but it was such fun--and all of the people were just great. It is amazing to me how much talent people have and how creative they are.” ~ Judy Cully - Commercial 2 class.

“I can't thank you enough for all of your time, advice and support.  I do believe that the Actors Lab that you’re teaching prepared me for my auditions, and brought out confidence that was deep within!! I STILL want in this Fall for Advanced Labs!!! Don't forget to send me the info when it's time. HUGE HUGS and High Fives.” ~ Erica McDermott – intro to commercials and dramatic scene study for film/TV. Landed featured role in The Fighter with Mark Walberg and American Hustle coming out December 2013.

“At first, I couldn’t believe he was really as sincere as he presented. (He is, he is). In a relatively short span of time, Kevin accomplished what my best teachers have always done: inform, encourage, supported. What he added to the mix was an astonishingly empowering, liberating and inspiring motivation that ranks him among the three best teachers I’ve ever had. No, make that the very best.” ~ Jack Craib – Dramatic scene study for film/TV

“What an incredible experience. I’ve taken many classes through the years (including a B.F.A. from SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory) and haven’t come across a teacher who’s been able to provide such effective results while maintaining such a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, Kevin’s method spoke to all of us despite our varying levels of education and experience. We all took away so much…” ~ Heather Zicko – Dramatic scene study for film/TV

"I just wanted to take a moment and express to you how much I enjoy your class (even though I missed a couple), and maybe even more so, your philosophy on acting, and on life. I enter your class, and it is a breathe of fresh air. You are so positive, uplifting, and kind. It is such a welcomed 'atmosphere' as you spoke of tonight in class, in contrast to the 'corporate' world of which I am a part of daily. It is so nice to know that a person like you is out there, inspiring others to be true to themselves, valuing each person's "life-light" in a non-judgemental way. Even in your critiques, you are so constructive, and do not overlook the positive attributes that each person has brought forth.I hope that this doesn't come across too sappy, but I wanted to share with you how in such a brief and short period of time, by listening to & learning from you, you have made an impact on me, as I am sure you have on many many others, and I want to thank you.I look forward to next week's class." ~ Alisha Semprini - Commercial 2 class

"I just wanted to start off by thanking you for the great class that made my Thursdays far more enjoyable. I have done several classes before, and yours was the most inspiring, challenging, and entertaining - you absolutely have the gift of teaching." ~ Ben Davies - Production Manager of The Boston Studio - commercial 2 class

Kevin! I got a call back this morning at the Dunkin' audition! I have to go back tomorrow and be filmed on camera--I used all your strategies and it worked! It went just the way you say it does--there were about 13 of us in a room, we didn't even take our coats off--he asked a couple questions and chose just three of us from the group! THANKS to you I was prepared! I know there are a few more rounds past here, so I'm not there yet, but I just wanted to thank you for the help so far! I'll let you know how it goes from here--and I plan on taking a couple more of your classes soon, too! All the best! ~ Stephanie Kessler

"Kevin, Matty has been busy lately. He has had a few auditions one of which ended up being between him and another boy. His R.I agent, Annette, said that the ad agency wanted to know who Matty's acting coach was, so I gave her your info and website address. They said after a grueling day of seeing many children, 'He was a breath of fresh air and made our day.' Thanks." ~ Elizabeth Lyons mother of Matt Lyons – Children’s introduction to commercial class

Thanks again and see you in class where it's YOUR turn to shine!

The Dance Doctor
(also works with ice-skaters)

Are you working on a group number, solo, lyrical, tap, jazz or paired dance routine and need help finding the story?  Are you tired of that “dance recital smile” for the entire duration of the song?  Need that extra spark, help with facial expressions, dramatic or comedic interpretation?  Then hire Kevin Lasit to assist your dancer/dancers/ice-skaters to find the true sense of story within their dance piece.   “Dance is more than simply moving your body around and repeating what the choreographer has taught you.  After you learn the choreography, the real hard work must begin . . . . the work of clear and specific storytelling through your entire being, so you leave your audience with emotional impact.”  Kevin Lasit has choreographed numerous productions and has worked with award winning show choirs in California and has over fifteen years experience working with dancers to engage and challenge them to tell a more specific story through their choreography.
